Halloween 2011 Review - As our followers already know, we took the 2011 Halloween season off to recover from the vandals.  We want to thank everyone for the overwelming support you gave us when you visited our very small setup this year.

We will be back up in 2012 with lots of new things so be sure to come out and visit us.

2011 Christmas Lights are ON!!

Christmas 2011 Updates- The Christmas season has been another big success this year.  The word is finally getting out there thanks to you putting us on Facebook, youtube.com, and calling your local radio and news stations.

Stay tuned for the final review in a few days.

Christmas 2010 - Make A Child Smile of Central Arkansas (MACS) was once again the charity we worked with for 2011.  Feel free to visit their website at www.makeachildsmile.net to see what your generous donations are doing for others.

- Sharpe Dunaway from 'The Point 94.1' broadcasted live from our home on Friday, December 17th from 3:00pm until 6:00pm to help bring in donations.  Once again, we had a great time during the evening.  Stomboli's of Conway came out again this year and handed out their special hot spiced cider.  We asked when they were going to start selling it in the store so maybe they will add it to the menu next year during the holiday season. I'm working on getting the photos posted from the live broadcast so keep checking the Christmas Related page.

- Jeff Matthews from 'The Morning Rush' on B98.5 also helped spread the word again us this year.

- Conway Corporation came out and shot video that was included in the 'Conway Christmas' show on channel 5 this year.  You could watch just our video from the On Demand videos.  I have updated the Christmas video page so check them out on our Christmas Related page.  The updated videos from this year were shot and edited by Wayne Bailey at Conway Corporation.

- 501 Life Magazine featured our light display in their November 2010 issue.  You can read the story by clicking HERE. I have posted one of the pictures that Mike Kemp/501 LIFE took for the story on the directions page.  I will get some others posted soon so keep checking back.

Thanks goes out to the following:
- To Sharpe and Chuck from The Point for making the live broadcast a success
- To comedian
Michael DOC Davis for the entertainment during the live broadcast
- To Ken and Robin Stauffer from Stromboli's of Conway for staying until all of the cider was gone.
- To the person that won the TSO tickets that The Point auctioned off for our cause.  Thank you for your generous donation of $325 to Make A Child Smile of Central Arkansas
- Tracy Stocks from MACS for coming out during the live broadcast to experience what everyone does to help
- To Jeff Matthews from B98.5
- To 501 LIFE Mag for featuring our display in the November 2010 issue.
- For our followers, we lost two homes this year and added two more.  We hope to have the two we lost back for 2011 and we are talking with other neighbors to see if we can add at least one more home for the 2011 season.  The light count for our home was around 40,000 lights this year.  The other three homes ranged between 3,000 and 10,000 lights each.  We visited with people nightly and gave out over 12,500 candy canes this year.  We are planning some big changes for 2011 so keep checking back for sneek peek updates.

2010 "Make A Child Smile" Christmas Drive Update

Thank you to everyone that donated to the '2010' Christmas drive.  We collected around $2000 in cash donations along with toys, clothes, and coats.

- Since donations were down for 2010, we only donated to our primary charity this year.  For ' Make A Child Smile', we donated $1500 in cash donations (including the $325 donation from the TSO ticket auction that The Point 94.1 did for us this year) along with toys, clothes, and coats.

Closing Note:

I know that some of you were hoping we were collecting for Childrens Hospital this year, but "Make A Child Smile" of Central Arkansas (MACS) has always been our primary charity.  This year, donations were down compared to last year and since MACS was having a hard time this year as well, we decided to only contribute your generous donations to them.  For those that are wondering what MACS is and for those that may not completely know what they do, please visit their website at www.makeachildsmile.net

On a final note, we want to tell everyone that visited us this year, Thank You for helping make this year a big success.  We had the pleasure of meeting people that came in from out of state to visit family and made it a point to stop by and see our display this year.  Although some nights were very busy and we didnt get to meet everyone, we enjoyed visiting with those we did meet.  We look forward to seeing you during next years Christmas season..
